How to replace the Pad on a Zoll AED Plus

A Step-by-Step guide on replacing the pad of your Zoll Plus AED Defibrillator.

Life the release tab at the bottom of the unit:

Lift the release tab near the handle to remove the cover. Remove the top cover completely and place it aside.

Remove the pad:

Remove the pad from the unit and gently pull the white plug connecting the unit to the pad. Dispose of the old pad.

Plug in the new pad

Do not open the pad packaging. Before plugging in the new pad, ensure that the pad hasn't expired. The expiry date can be found on the pad at the bottom right corner. Look for the hourglass symbol. Once you've ensured the pad has not been expired, plug the new pad's connector in and place the pad inside the unit.

Place the protective cover back on the AED

Ensure that the check mark symbol located on the bottom left side near the handle is visible. If so, your unit it now rescue ready! If not, please check to ensure the connector is secure and that your pads are not past their expiry.
